THE COMMITTEE....

With a membership of base of around 60 members, this is considered too large for all the members to participate in decisions affecting the organization as a whole, therefore, according to our club constitution the committee  is given the power to make decisions. It is a good way to draw people from the club together utilising experience, sharing viewpoints, information and responsibilities.

Every club member has equal voting rights and eligability to be nominated for any post at the clubs AGM. Many people do not realise the personal sacrifice that the individual members of the committee give and the importance of the work that goes on in the background to make our club a success.

The running of our club could not be done without all the time and effort put in by all the current and honourary members, so it's only fair to 'name & shame' !!!

But......

Before we do, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Jane Sinclair and Janice Raeside for all their hard work on committee last year and will not be standing again. Also to Drew Gibson who has fulfilled his 3 year term (and an extra year as care-taker president) but will continue on committee after being elected as an ordinary committee member.
